Skilling South Australia

Skilling South Australia is investing in apprentices and traineeships to grow business, the economy and keep young people in South Australia. Skilling South Australia Projects are Government-funded projects, co-designed with business and industry, to drive apprenticeship and traineeship growth.

Funding is available for projects that drive apprenticeship and traineeship growth in the state.

The aim of the project is to:

  • boost regional apprenticeships or traineeships
  • support strategic industry sectors, such as defense, information technology, cyber security and disability services, or
  • assist specific cohorts, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers, women in non-traditional trades or long-term unemployed job seekers into apprenticeships or traineeships.

AUSJET and ADCVA are currently applying for the program to assist our members in finding apprentices. Several of our member business in South Australia who are interested in employing an apprentice have been approached. If AUSJET’s and ADCVA’s application is approved an advert will be formulated asking for potential apprentices to apply. Those selected will go through a training process and be trained in the:

  • MSMSS00003 - Use High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment.

The training will take place at the potential employer’s place of business. If the employer (our member) is impressed with the trainee they then decide as to whether to offer an apprenticeship to the applicant.

Applications have now closed.
